Artwork Guidelines

Acceptable Programs

Adobe Acrobat Pro: .PDF

Adobe Indesign: packaged .INDD or exported .PDF

Adobe Illustrator: .EPS, .PDF, .AI

Adobe Photoshop

Microsoft Word: .DOC, .DOCX; all fonts, images, logos, and photographs included separately; (NOT RECOMMENDED)

Microsoft Excel: .XLS, .XLSX, .CSV; for mailing lists or variable data merging

Microsoft Publisher: .PUB; (NOT RECOMMENDED)

File Information

.PDF files are accepted but files cannot be altered if changes are required.

All .EPS and .TIFF files used in creating the document must be included.

Artwork must be made to the correct size of the printed piece and must include 0.125″ of bleed and a 0.125″ safety margin. The bleed area will be removed during final trim and the artwork within the safety margin may be subject to removal during final trim. Save a copy of each piece to be printed under a different file name. Include a copy of every file used in creating the document. Always keep copies of all files sent to the producing plant, as the plant is not responsible for loss or damage to your electronic media.

Acceptable compressed files: 7-zip .ZIP

Digital Press Files

Print quality PDF files needed or vector artwork. If specific Pantone color is needed, it is necessary to use that Pantone swatch during artwork creation. If no swatch is specified, the artwork will be printed in 4-color process.

File Storage

Flash drives, compact disks (CDs), and e-mail files are accepted.
